In a society that becomes more and more obsessed with pop culture everyday, Dolo digs deeper and deeper to find actual substance that people can nod heads to. Rather than jump on bandwagons, we build our own. Fusing different flavors of Hip Hop, NeoSoul and Acid Jazz, we're making our own sound while staying true to the realists. So for all of the believers out there, stay tuned...this is the year for substance!
Goals / Philosophies
- Make albums not singles - So many artists now are devoted to making only one hit single. Very few artists and producers now are taking there listeners on a journey; grabbing there attention from the start and keeping it for 60 minutes. We don't design our albums for listeners to track through, we design them to be listened to; from beginning to end.
- Bring underground music to the masses - Through our various compilations and originals, our goal is to make labels like Ubiquity, OM, Eighteenth Street Lounge Music and Dolo household names.
- Sign artists with the same goals - if our goals are your goals we urge you to submit a demo. Since people like us are hard to find, our A&R team is always in search of family members.
- Hip Hop is a lifestyle; not simply music.
